Catalog description

Discussion of software engineering concepts. Application of approaches, models, and methodologies that inform decisions and processes in industry. Exploration of the stages of software development with an emphasis on implementation, evaluation, delivery, documentation, and maintenance. Analysis of a problem and generation of a solution that includes not only code but also verification, validation, and documentation. Discussion of the importance of continuing professional development and awareness of the social, ethical-legal, professional, and security issues and responsibilities in the discipline. Requires 30 lecture hours and 30 closed laboratory hours.
