Catalog description
This course is similar to SOWK-250 in that it integrates and consolidates theories from prerequisite social, behavioral, and biological sciences courses. Themes include assessing and understanding human diversity in varying social contexts, social injustice, oppression, cultural heritage, and concerns for specific vulnerable populations. Primary focus is on organizations, communities, institutions, and the reciprocal interactions between individuals and these systems.
