Catalog description
Investigates the interplay between human communities and the physical environments they inhabit. The course looks at the ways that societies shape their physical space and how that physical environment shapes them. It includes an overview of ecology, environmental policy, environmental movements and organization, environmental racism, environmental justice, and sustainability. The course includes an optional service learning opportunity (see SOC 236).
