Examination of the concept of race and of the relations between numerous ethnic and racial groups in the United States. Emphasis is given to the social construction of race and ethnicity. An intersectional lens is utilized to understand the interplay of race, social class, gender, and other identities and their impact at the personal and intersectional level.
