Catalog description

This course integrates lean operations management theory with in-class, hands-on lean activities and a supervised, 1.5 credit hour client internship. Students apply lean principles, value stream mapping, and process analysis to for-profit and nonprofit businesses. They also master the use of operations software to make management decisions. Emphasis is placed on experiential learning through simulations, process improvement exercises, and enterprise systems applications. The applied components support professional skill development and earning both Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and SAP certifications.
