Catalog description

Quantitative methods addresses the development of modeling techniques and decision analysis tools aimed at assisting managers in problem solving and the decision making process. This course introduces a number of tools and techniques commonly used in the operations and supply chain management function. Topics covered include: linear programming, sensitivity analysis, transportation problems, project management, queuing systems, forecasting, and simulation. This course provides a hands on approach to developing quantitative models and utilizes spreadsheets as the primary tool for analyzing and evaluating many common problems and issues facing supply chain managers.
