Catalog description

This course will begin by reviewing note-taking, studying, and test-taking techniques. The students will be introduced to basic information necessary to become a physical therapist assistant. An Overview of the American Physical Therapy Association and a brief history of the profession of physical therapy, including role delineation between a physical therapist and a physical therapist assistant, will be covered. The scope of practice and laws governing physical therapy practice will be included. Documentation, research literature, and professional behaviors are among the topics that will be covered.
