Catalog description
This course describes the multidimensional aspects of health across the lifespan and with persons with a variety of abilities. The role of physical therapists in health promotion and wellness, disease prevention, reduction of health disparities, and quality of life improvement will be explored. Students will apply behavior change models and educational strategies to individual health management. Students will be engaged through lecture and active learning methods.
