Policy in Occupational Therapy

Catalog description
This is an introductory course to public policy, how it affects occupational therapy practice, and how policies and systems relate to the greater healthcare arena. Global and population health disparities, and occupational and distributive justice principles will be explored. Models of reimbursement and influence on health care settings and the tools to effect policy change will also be discussed. Prerequisites: Permission.
