Catalog description
This course builds on the introductory content covered in OTD 560: OT Management & Leadership I, and incorporates the student's clinical experiences obtained during Level II Fieldwork. Emphasis is on the role of the occupational therapist as a manager and leader including supervision of OT personnel. Students will evaluate policy issues and how the practice of occupational therapy is affected by changes in legislation and reimbursement. In addition students will advocate and identify opportunities for change in service delivery policies. Prerequisite: OTD 560: OT Management & Leadership I.
