Catalog description

This course will look at how fiscal management impacts daily operations in ambulatory care settings. Learners will apply health promotion concepts and advocate for health needs of population groups with varied health statuses. Healthcare literacy will be explored for various patient populations and educational strategies will be implemented based on patient needs. Interprofessional practice competencies will be used to coordinate delivery of care within ambulatory care settings. Learners will evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care to determine if the expected outcomes were met.
