Catalog description

This course will introduce ambulatory care nursing as a unique professional specialty. Background and conceptual framework of ambulatory care nursing will be discussed. Current trends in healthcare that impact ambulatory care will be explored. Learners will be able to identify members of the ambulatory care team, describe characteristics of ambulatory care patients and the environments in which they are seen, as well as discuss legal and ethical concerns specific to ambulatory care nursing.
