Catalog description
This course applies a theoretical and clinical focus through a holistic approach to the care of the patient with psychiatric/mental health disorders and substance abuse. Psychopathology of mental disorders is reviewed. Emphasis is on the nursing care of individuals, families, and groups in an acute psychiatric setting, with the development of the professional nursing role in psychiatric/mental health.
