Acute Transitional Care II

Catalog description

This course explores professional nursing practice and its role in health promotion and injury prevention. A focus on holistic nursing care allows for a more in-depth examination of nursing responsibilities and healthcare needs of various populations. Primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of prevention are described to promote patient wellbeing. Nursing, behavioral, and physical sciences are integrated throughout to support understanding of transitional nursing care. Building on foundational concepts introduced in Acute Transitional Care I, developing clinical reasoning skills and implementing safe patient-centered care are emphasized.
