Catalog description

This course introduces professional nursing practice and its role in health promotion. Using the nursing process and theory, emphasis is placed on understanding the physiologic and psychosocial needs of healthcare recipients. Opportunities are provided to explore the wellness continuum and transitional nursing care in a variety of environments. Knowledge of nursing, behavioral, and physical sciences are integrated throughout and are meant to enhance the development of nursing core competencies, foundational concepts, and role identity.
