Catalog description

This course provides evidence-based knowledge and develops skills needed to provide care for the acutely ill neonate. Students will learn to gather patient data, develop a management plan, and present the patient during team rounds in the simulation setting. Students will be able to emerge in realistic neonatal simulation scenarios in the safe environment of the simulation laboratory. Students will demonstrate the psychomotor skills and didactic knowledge necessary to provide care and resuscitation for acutely ill neonatal patients in a simulation setting.
