Catalog description

This course examines concepts of management and the strategic implementation of programs, techniques, and tools for reducing costs and improving quality in healthcare systems. Process and project management functions that facilitate sound nursing management across the continuum of care in the operations of a clinical unit or facility are emphasized. Multiple dimensions of managing patient care operations are explored including contemporary healthcare trends such as evidence-based healthcare and pay-for-performance.
