Catalog description

The focus of NUGR 579 practicum experience continues to provide students with mentoredopportunities to facilitate professional growth in the nurse educator role. Students extend the practicum experiences of NUGR 577 for completion of goal-directed nurse educator practice. Specific practicum sites and mentors, previously selected in NUGR 577, are utilized to complete practicum hours in a variety of clinical practice settings. Activities to enhance reflection and self-assessment include regular collaboration with course faculty, practicum documentation, active participation in seminar-style presentations, and completion of practicum requirements.
