Catalog description
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of wellness and nutrition: its principles and nutritional and environmental factors that contribute to disease and common clinical imbalances (defense and repair, cell to cell communication, structural integrity, detoxification and elimination). This course will include evidence-based guidelines and current wellness and nutrition theory as it relates to various body systems across lifespan – from birth to the end of life. The elements of pathology with wellness and nutrition guidelines for prevention and treatment of various illnesses are integrated in this course.
