Catalog description

This course explores role socialization, inter-professional collaboration, advancement of clinical and leadership abillites as an advanced practice nurse, new opportunities for professional growth, and marketing the advanced practice role. Students will focus on the integration of evidence-based practice and culturally sensitive approaches to address emerging clinical problems, improving patient outcomes and cost effectiveness, and evaluation fo impact on the health system. Development and evaluation of effective strategies for managing ethical dilemmas inherent in patient care and healthcare organizations are explored.
