Students will examine topics such as the biological foundations of musical perception, the emotional and therapeutic effects of music, the role of music in memory and learning, and the psychological influences on musical preferences. Emphasis will be placed on how music interacts with the brain, affects emotions, and influences behavior. The course offers insights from cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and cultural studies, providing a comprehensive view of music's impact on the mind.
