Catalog description

This course is designed to expand music therapy students’ repertoire for use in clinical settings across various populations. Students will become familiar with a wide range of music used in therapy sessions, enhancing their competencies on guitar, piano, voice, and percussion with an emphasis on clinical musicianship. Additional accompaniment instruments will be explored, such as ukulele, Q-chord, autoharp, and electronic and technology-based instruments. Repertoire will be selected from popularized genres and styles spanning the last century.
