Applied Occupational Theory

Catalog description

In this course students will examine the development and role of theory applied to the occupational therapy process. Students will analyze, integrate, and apply specific theories, occupational-based models, and frames of reference in order to develop an understanding of occupational performance in children and adults. The impact of contextual factors on occupational engagement and the role of occupation in the influencing health and well-being are addressed. Prerequisite: Must be accepted into the Master of Occupational Therapy Program.
