College Algebra & Trigonometry

Catalog description
This course examines the concept of function: complex numbers; linear and quadratic equations; linear, quadratic, and rational inequalities; properties of quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions, and their graphs; and exponential and logarithmic equations. Further topics include trigonometric functions and their graphs; right triangle trigonometry; trigonometric identities; sum, difference, double angle, half angle formulas; inverse trigonometric functions; trigonometric and inverse trigonometric equations. The course may not count toward any major or minor program in mathematics. It is recommended that students who have succeeded in a trigonometry course take a more advanced mathematics course.
