Introduction to Epidemiology

Catalog description

Epidemiology examines the distribution an determinants of health-related events in populations and their application to public health practice. This course introduces foundational epidemiologic concepts, measures of disease frequency and association, common study designs, and interpretation of public health data. Students apply epidemiological priniciples to identify risk factors and support evidence-based disease prevention and population health efforts.
