Catalog description

This course is concerned with the comprehension and interpretation of the principles and philosophies of modern kinesiology, and health and sport science related programs. Contributions of historical programs related to development of current trends in program structure will be discussed. The foundations of sport, physical activity, physical education, and health through civilizations and culture will be a primary focus. Students will receive orientation to the majors of exercise science, sport management, health and physical education, and public health education and promotion.
