GERO 360
Economics & Aging Pops
University of Indianapolis · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
GERO 360 will focus on the economic issues created by demographic trends. We will examine the issues associated with an aging population, and their potential impact on the individual, the family, the private sector, and the public sector. We will also examine the responses of other countries to these same economic trends and forces. Students will come to better understand the nature, magnitude, and scope of the economic issues associated with an aging population, and will be equipped to evaluate the economic trade-offs and choices that will be an inevitable part of ongoing demographic trends in the U.S.
