Section information text: This course explores diverse issues pertinent to American athletes. We will study and discuss the personalities, events, social forces, and historical moments that have shaped, and continue to shape, American athletes. The primary focus of this course will be to examine the way race, social class, gender, politics, and history have had an impact on American athletics.
