Catalog description
Introduces fundamental principles of financial management within business organizations. Topics include the role of the financial manager, corporate governance and agency relationships, financial statement analysis, time value of money, risk and return, valuation of bonds and stocks, capital budgeting, cost of capital, capital structure, and long- and short-term financial planning. Emphasis is placed on applying quantitative tools to evaluate investment and financing decisions and on understanding how financial markets support organizational value creation.
