Senior Practicum

Catalog description
This course facilitates professional work experience in the fields of Earth-space science, environmental science, or environmental sustainability. Students are placed under the direct supervision of a professional practitioner within a host organization while also remaining under the academic direction of a faculty advisor. Students are required to maintain regular communication with their faculty advisor throughout the semester to ensure the placement meets departmental learning objectives. Students are required to produce a final product, such as a paper, poster, or technical resentation. To satisfy capstone requirements, students must complete 2 credit hours in this course in addition to ESCI 496: Senior Seminar.
