Catalog description
Students engage in original scientific inquiry under the direct supervision of a faculty mentor. This course emphasizes the development of research questions, methodology, data collection, and analytical skills within the Earth-Space or Environmental sciences. Students are required to produce a final product, such as a research paper, poster, or technical presentation. (To satisfy capstone requirements, students must complete two credit hours in this course in addition to ESCI 496: Senior Seminar.)
