Catalog description

Introductory course concentrating on three primary areas: (1) observational techniques, (2) solar system astronomy, and (3) stellar and galactic astronomy. During each portion of the course there is a laboratory emphasis on observation and hands-on learning. Some observation is scheduled every clear night that the course meets, using the University's Noblitt Observatory in Lilly Science Hall, which is accessible via stairs only. (Cross-listed as PHYS-207.)
