Engineering Leadership

Catalog description
This course provides hands-on learning of leadership principles through serving as a mentor for first-year engineering students. Students in this course will be peer mentors who are assigned a small group of first-year students. The peer mentors will learn leadership skills through communicating with their group, motivating, and supporting their mentees. Additionally, students will gain leadership experience by leading and planning a school-wide event. The course may be repeated but no more than 3 hours of Engineering Leadership will be awarded. Only students who have completed one academic year at UIndy can enroll in the course.
