Engineering Design Lab V

Catalog description

This course is the second in a two-semester sequence focused on the development of the entrepreneurial mindset in students. Student teams will identify a commercially viable opportunity. They will validate the identified business opportunity by conducing interviews with potential customers and relevant stakeholders. They will be exposed to tools such as the business model canvas as well as qualitative and quantitative opportunity assignments. Teams will also work with the business mentors in the community and on campus. The team will apply Design methodologies and appropriate engineering design tools. ENGR 396 is generally taken in the first semester of the junior year. Prerequisite: ENGR-298 and a minimum of 35 credit hours in required Math, Science, and Engineering courses.
