Engineering Design Lab III

Catalog description

This course is the first semester of a project-based, year-long course in which teams of engineering students will work on significant engineering projects with internal or external partners to design a system, component, or process to solve a specific problem under the guidance of faculty advisors. Teams will identify requirements and develop preliminary designs, define project and product scope, develop a project charter, and apply project management and ethnographic tools. ENGR 296 is generally taken in the first semester of the sophomore year. Prerequisites: ENGR 198 and a minimum of ten credit hours in Math, Science, and Engineering courses.
