Fiction Writing

Catalog description
Through writing exercises and discussion of student writing as well as that of published authors, students will learn about the techniques and craft of short story writing: plot and character development, setting, and point of view. Various sub-genres of fiction will be introduced to broaden students' knowledge and help to develop their voice and style. As part of the class, students will have the opportunity to meet and hear contemporary poets and writers through the Kellogg Writers Series.
