Catalog description

Designed for majors and non-majors with little or no previous creative writing experience, this course will teach students the basic techniques of the craft of creative writing of fiction and poetry, though the course may also include creative nonfiction. It will focus on the work of a diverse group of contemporary writers for inspiration and technique. Taught in a format that emphasizes student writing, it includes workshop.
