Catalog description

Student teaching is the capstone experience for Early Childhood Education majors. Candidates will demonstrate their ability to created meaningful professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create positive learning environments for all students from diverse backgrounds. Candidates will be able to articulate and demonstrate what it means to be a globally ready educator for children and their families. Candidates will student teach in either Kindergarten or Pre-Kindergarten for half of the semester and in a Primary grade for the other half of the semester in classrooms with diverse student populations. Pre-requisite: Completion of all major requirements, and co-requisite with Student Teaching Seminar for Early Childhood.
