Catalog description

This course is about the design, structure, and use of computer networks. The student will learn about hardware and software used to build computer networks, including cloud computing platforms. Topics include parallel computing, messaging, structural alternatives, communication protocols, security, and industry trends. Different network architectures will be compared.
