Catalog description

This class is a culminating experience allowing students to apply their criminal justice knowledge to a real-world crime problem, reflect on their personal and career aspirations, and build their job-seeking skills. Students will apply the knowledge they have gained through their prior criminal justice coursework to identify, research, and address a crime problem in the local community, producing an intervention/prevention guide for a local audience. Student will investigate career opportunities in criminal justice, reflect on their own personal and professional values and goals, and create a professional resume. Students will also exert control over their online identities and use social media to network with others in their chosen field. Prerequisite: Senior class level.
