Catalog description
This course examines the relationship between media and society. Beginning with the premise media both shapes and reflects society, students will explore the historical forms, functions, and limitations across our media landscape. Particular attention will be paid to understanding and applying theories and best practices related to media literacy. This course is intended to offer a broad perspective on media's impact on communication.
