Catalog description
An introduction to the molecules and chemical reactions that are characteristic of living things. The course will discuss the structures of important biological molecules including amino acids, proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids and metabolic processes that extract and store metabolic energy. Three hours of lecture per week. May be taken for either biology or chemistry credit. (Cross-listed as BIOL-320.)
