Catalog description
Internship program providing practical experience in various settings pertinent to careers in allied health and life sciences areas. Students will participate in a pre-approved program, volunteer organization, or other work-based activity for a minimum of 45-hours per credit hour. Students must provide their own transportation, liability insurance, uniform, and all other materials required by the participating organization. Full participation is expected. Failure to participate in a satisfactory manner, as determined by the participating organization and faculty sponsor, shall result in termination of the internship with no academic credit. Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading. Course may be repeated but no more than 4 credits may count toward a biology major. Prerequisites: Sophomore standing or higher; minimum GPA of 3.0; and permission of both a faculty sponsor and the participating organization/facility.
