Catalog description

The course addresses the intensely relational nature of professional service work, and explores the impact of soft and technical skills mix on client selection criteria, service mix, and talent acquisition and retention. A central theme to the course will address the theory and practice of how to client selection and how to move clients across the value-added spectrum from the low value-added tangible-sought to the high value-added intangible non-sought. Students preparing for careers in public accounting, law, finance, advertising, public relations, and consulting will gain valuable insights into how to succeed in a professional service career.
