This course examines the legal environment in which businesses operate, emphasizing the role of law in managing organizational risk and liability. Topics include the foundations of U.S. law, constitutional principles affecting business, contracts, torts, agency, employment law, and dispute resolution. The course develops legal literacy and issue-spotting skills that enable managers to recognize legal risks, understand regulatory obligations, and make informed decisions in professional business contexts.
