Capstone: Visual Art Education

Catalog description

Through this course Visual Art Education Co-Majors will: 1) reflect back on and process their content area learning experiences to prepare for their content-area certification test, 2) consider and map their emerging identity as a teacher, and 3) be introduced to professional practices and contemporary conversations in art education. In consultation with the instructor, students will produce a substantial course project on an art education-related topic of their choice, in a form of their choice (e.g., teaching portfolio, curriculum scope and sequence, annotated bibliography).
