Catalog description
This course explores "global health" as a growing field of inquiry and practice shaped by political, economic, and sociocultural processes of globalization. Through frameworks of ethnography and medical anthropology, we explore interconnections among ideologies and practices of health development, material realities of health care systems, and cross-cultural experiences of health disparity and health care inequalities.
