Catalog description

This course examines the design, implementation, and use of accounting information systems to support business operations, decision-making, and internal control. Emphasis is placed on understanding how data flows through key business processes; including revenue, expenditure, production, and payroll cycles; and how technology enables effective financial reporting and managerial analysis. Students explore the role of information systems in accounting and emergin technologies such as AI, ERP, and data analytics. Through hands-on projects and case studies, students use professional accounting software to understand how accounting information systems contribute to organizational effectiveness, ethical governance, and data-driven decision-making.
