This advanced course analyzes the critical role of systems thinking and organizational leadership in the healthcare environment with a focus on advanced nursing competencies to improve organizational outcomes. Students examine the complex internal and external variables that influence healthcare delivery, the nurse leader's role in shaping organizational culture and policy, and the leadership of data-driven, cost-efficient initiatives to mitigate risk and ensure healthcare quality. Healthcare operations and outcomes are evaluated for direct solutions to strengthen quality and cost efficiency, ensure compliance, and foster an inclusive, respectful culture. Opportunities for reflection on ethically sound, Christ-centered leadership practices facilitate continued personal and professional development in advanced nursing leadership.
