Catalog description

This course analyzes scientific underpinnings, theoretical perspectives, core values, and foundational competencies that shape advanced nursing practice and contribute to improved health outcomes. Emphasis is placed on the synthesis of concepts surrounding equitable, safe, person-centered, compassionate care, interprofessional collaboration, and the social determinants of health to propose endeavors that will foster evidence-based, high-quality nursing and healthcare delivery. The integration of knowledge to support advanced nursing roles is investigated with opportunities for self-reflection, competency appraisal, and professional goal setting which contribute to students' lifelong learning and professional identity in advanced nursing practice.
